MROinsider.com Releases MyMROs as Vendor Management Tool

Company Anticipates Part 135 Operator Usage

Tecumseh, MI – Locally owned aviation maintenance quoting website MROinsider.com has announced the release of their online vendor management tool, MyMROs.  The tool was in development for approximately 6 months and was released for customer use in early August 2018.  While under development, the company listened to feedback and input from multiple Part 135 operators to ensure the tool met the needs of charter operators as well as private flight departments.

After registering their aircraft, users are able to upload their current vendors as MyMROs and assign a five-star ranking for engine, airframe, paint, avionics, and interior capabilities.  When an aircraft is AOG, users select the tail number from their dashboard and type in the airport identifier to identify the location of the aircraft.  At that time, they can view a MyMROs list based on vendor type, distance, or self-ranking.  If the user is unable to find a vendor from MyMROs, they are also able to search the MRO Insider network of providers to locate a mobile service unit to assist them.

“After discovering that many flight departments and Part 135 operators did not have an efficient method to track, rank, and log their vendors, I saw a great opportunity for MRO Insider with the MyMROs tool,” explains company Co-founder and President, Lindsay Nixon.  “After hearing feedback from the Part 135 community, we were able to include a way for a main account to create multiple user log ins with varied permissions to allow larger operators the ability to have multiple controllers working from the same fleet.”  The tool also incorporates a method of tracking both scheduled maintenance requests and AOG history built into the user’s dashboard.

Since the company’s launch at NBAA 2017, MROinsider.com has registered over 50 service providers ranging from avionics, paint, interior, turbine and piston engine repairs/overhauls and airframe facilities nationwide.  The website has also registered over 300 corporate aircraft and has had over 30 RFQ’s (requests for maintenance) submitted.

Aircraft owner/operators can create a user profile and utilize the site at no cost.  If an operator chooses to enhance their profile with the addition of MyMROs, there is an associated monthly subscription fee. Discounted rates are offered if the subscription is paid annually.
